Latonic
Latonic were formed in late 2002 by Andy, Ally , Grant and Jay, relying on a spelling mistake on the 13th Note's billboard to help them choose a name. In time however, things slowly but surely came together, and the "What's Your Poison?" EP was recorded in early 2003, receiving airplay on national radio stations. The pop-rock catchiness was starting to take shape, and we finally managed to convince our guitar idol, Stuart, to join the band in late 2003.
Armed with a secret guitar God, Latonic played their first King Tut's show in October 2003, supporting Regurgitator, this being followed by supports with Kid Symphony and Colour of Fire. Other gig credits include QMU, Barfly and the final of the Fury Murry's Battle of the Bands competition.
In 2004, we realised we'd all been tripping on acid when we believed Stuart was our guitar hero, and quickly took steps to sober up and record some proper music.
Look out for a review of their new EP up on Rock Pulse soon, and you can find out more about the band by going their site, www.latonic.com.
