Rapid Fiction are a four-piece band hailing from the city of London. Consisting of Carl Thompson on vocals/guitar, Nick Mann as the bassist/programmer, keyboardist Marc Picazo and drummer Demis Kyriacou.

From the first few notes of the E.P you instantly get the words “Joy Division” cavorting in your head. This band are like The Killers, with edge though, a SHIT load more edge. “Under The Pulse” is a concoction of dark guitar riffs with squeaky electronica in comparison. Carl Thompson’s voice soothes over the top to product their sound.

I prefer my music louder and more energetic, but there is a market for this somewhere I am sure. Check them out gigging around their London circuit. For fans of The Killers, Interpol and Joy Division.
