The Dawn Chorus - Carnivalesque (featuring Frank Turner)

Review by Mark

Filthy brass, charmingly depressing lyrics and an appearance from Frank Turner. Lets be honest, there's a lot to like here. It's eerie just how easy it feels to let yourself go while listening to this song of a man pouring out his feelings. Toe tapping rhythms and head bopping beats combined with the words of torment will leave some listeners in an odd place. But lets not read too much into things. The contrast in moods is great to hear, the song will mean different things to different people. Many will just enjoy it for what it is at face value. A highly infectious and sincere song.
