The Authentics - Demo
Review by Nik
The Authentics have been influences ranging right across the board from Metallica to The Clash to Queen.
According to the website bio the band have a reputation for showcasing ‘High Energy Punk/Rock ‘n’ Roll, with rockin’ choruses, riffs and bass’.
With all this in mind and having listened to the demo a few times I have to say ( in the style of Dr Evil)……riighht!!!
It is a three track cd consisting of two original tracks and a dance remix of the second track.
Track 1 – The Right Stuff
It is an upbeat effort with spot on timing and vocals that gel well with the music. In places the harmonies need a bit of fine tuning (but not much) and it looses balance a bit in the middle, but picks up again towards the end.
All in all, not a bad effort.
Track 2 – Four Walls, Track 3, Four Walls (Remix)
Not as strong as the first, they drag on a bit in places and are extremely repetitive ( more the dance mix than the original). The talent is still evident, even if not so obvious.
Check them out at www.theauthentics.co.uk.
