Nitroforce 9  - Vanity Dreams EP

Today I bring you the review of Nitroforce 9’s Vanity Dream EP. They’re a quartet from Finland that plays an amazing sample of Hard Rock. Their music is pretty loyal to the old school from the genre having great solos, rhythmical drumming, fast playing and yes: lots of attitude.

Nitroforce 9’s music is also involving, hot and passionate. Their songs let you lean back and get into the vibe as you’ll be able to feel while listening to their latest release: the EP “Vanity Dreams” whose concept is based on the idea of chasing and living the American dream in all of its ephemeral conceptions.

Here follows some of my comments about their EP Vanity Dreams (2010) which I consider as a negative aspect having JUST three tracks once it definitely makes you eager for more. I hope you enjoy!

Tracklist:

01-  Six Point Sweet Action: at the very first it reminded me a bit the earlier phase of Faith no More when it comes to the vocals but under a Hard Rock vibe. Simply streaming, fast picking and great drums. The solos are short but pretty efficient. Undoubtedly, a great track.

02-  Motorway Maniac:sounds way too different from the previous track when it comes to the vocals and melody structure. Definitely 100% Hard Rock. Fast playing, hot riffs and the vocals are filled with attitude, presence and domain on the notes. Great bass and drums too.

03-  And There She Stands:comparing to the previous songs this one could be considered a bit calmer. The melody is very rhythmical and makes you want to sing along. Here comes a surprise regarding to the vocalist once he’s able to sing under different tunes in perfect harmony with the entire song structure. The highlight goes to the great guitar solo right after a short sax playing.
