For a band that are not that well known running a competition for a unsigned to open for them every night on tour seems like a more then friendly thing to do, Adelaide who are London based seem to already have a strong following. They get the crowd jumping and pumping for air. Which is perfect for American based band Mayday Parade, whom it seems that most of the audience are her for. Songs like ‘Jersey’ and ‘Kids in love’ are crowd pleasers.
Next up are main support We are the ocean, which seem to be the complete opposite of Madina Lake but do everything they can to outshine the headliners, which bodies flying over the barrier and sweat dribbling from even the securities faces We are the ocean surely deserve the headling spot.
That is until Madina Lake take to the stage with the instrumental ‘scorched earth’ the crowd are left waiting for that moment when the band take to the stage. When lead singer Nathan Leone takes to the stage the band swirl into first song ‘never take us alive’ with the crowd screaming the words back at them.
During song ‘welcome to oblivion’ the band decides to shoot confetti into the crowd which leaves the crowd stood in amazement wondering if they are at a Madina Lake show or a Muse show.
After they return on stage for their encore the band swirl into song ‘Legends’ which has the whole crowd clapping in sync. Finally the band close with ‘escape from here’ which leaves the crowd still stood in place demanding one last song but the lights brighten and the show comes to a close, Madina Lakes headline tour was a success judging by that one show.
