Paul Ortiz  - Chimp Spanner

review by Amy  - added 05/12/2009

Producer, composer and multi instrumentalist - Paul Ortiz, brings us his second CD 'Chimp Spanner'. The progressive metal sounds bring an air of quality and hard work. Paul is 25 and from the Essex area. He plays guitar, bass, drums and keyboard and puts all his own work together, I think that's pretty talented. This isn't his first attempt at a record though... his first CD was named 'Imperium Vorago' and was a big success, I'm sure this will go the same way. The anthemic tunes are massive, although there are no vocals, which may suit some, but I think it would make it better, even if there were only vocals on a couple of track. All in all it's a great CD, go to his myspace page and give his work a listen!
