Plunge - Hometown Hero (Atenzia Records)
Review by Nik
Falling under the genre of Rock (with a hint of pop and punk to hold
the
balance), one thing is for sure; these guys most certainly do.
This release has a familiar feeling to it, it is easy to fall into and
get
completely lost in the music.
From the first track with its banging and 'here I am' attitude to the
beautiful acoustic final track, this album has something for everyone.
The whole album is made up of a fantastic selection of tracks, I have
picked
three that (I think) are the best:
Hometown Hero - the album's title track which makes great use of the
chilling
guitar only just being heard behind the vocals and drums, which grows
into
an intense explosion of music - Fantastic.
Ordinary Girl - Fast, Exhilarating, Rock..........need I say more.
Heaven - beautiful words and the gorgeous sound of an acoustic guitar,
a
perfect final track.
This release is a pleasure to listen to quietly and even better when
you
turn the volume up full!!!
You will want to check these guys out because you will regret it if you
don't.
