InMe have just started touring after what seems a very long time, on the second date of their tour, I got a chance to catch up with their Glaswegian support band "Hiding Place" while X Is Loaded played loudly in the background. Read below to hear about what they think of InMe, and find out the secret identities to Vodka man and Jack Daniels man! 

Can you introduce yourselves to the microphone and say what your role is in the band? 

Paul: start closest to the door
Del: Erm, I'm del and I play lead guitar
Paul: err, Paul I sing. 

How did you come to be supporting InMe on this tour? 

Paul: I don't know, we actually went for support and it was already confirmed X is loaded, I mean, great band, you can't complain about not getting it. But we somehow ended up being given the third band. I think they were planning on putting on local bands, but somehow we got picked and got to go on the tour, which was cool. 

Were you fans before you got asked to tour with them? 

Paul: we played with them about a year and a half ago 
Del: liked their stuff
Paul: yeah definitely, not a huge fan, didn't have any of their stuff, but had seen them on local TV and stuff and they looked pretty good
Del: good live band
Paul: yeah, really nice guys. The first time we played with them in Glasgow we never really got a chance to speak to them but speaking to them yesterday after the show they're really nice guys 

How long has it been since you last toured? 

Del: a while, we just finished off the album so… 
Paul: two months? Aye two months two months, two and a half months after the first show last night it was a bit better, oh yeah if the van keeps rocking it's cus they're loading it up right now so don't worry about it 

Are you still feeling pretty fresh since this is only the second date of the tour? 

Del: definitely. It was good to get out last night it's always a big worry the first night
Paul: aye its good to be back on the road, tonight was a big difference from last night in terms of nerves before you go on and stuff like that 

Are there any specific dates on this tour that you are looking forward to? 

Paul: tomorrow night, that's the 16th 
Del: Glasgow
Paul: yeah cus it's at Glasgow and we've got a lot of friends and family coming to see us and you know, I'm not saying we've got a big fan base there, but we have a slight fan base 
Del: it's gonna be good
Paul: yeah, oh and the London shows as well one is a sell out and the other Erm, I dunno about that one 
Del: possibly a sell out, they're pretty big venues though
Paul: yeah I think so, [turns to del] is it the Astoria?
Del: yeah
Paul: yeah, should be good 

Who influences your band's music? 

Del: stone temple pilots, big fan of them, deep purple 
Paul: bands like tool, but really I just like them, but I mean, singing wise, he has some voice! 

Are there any embarrassing CDs in your collection? 

Del: Erm, Natalie Imbruglia if that's embarrassing
Paul: aye yeah I have one of hers too 

What is on your CD player at the moment? 

Del: stone temple pilots
Paul: Erm, yeah the same here 

In your dream show, where would you play, and who would support you? 

Paul: Madison Square Gardens for me.
Del: Metallica would support us!
[laughter]
Paul: dunno 

If you could star in the remake of any movie, what would it be and who would you be? 

Paul: rocky 4!
Del: Erm, Scarface! And I'd be the main man or a Stephen king film, I like those 

Have you seen the latest one? 

Del: no I haven't 

It's all right… more for fans of Johnny than Stephen king really, 

Del: yeah I like his books too but his films are always better 

If you were a super hero, what would you be called, and what would your super powers be? 

Paul: vodka man, and my super power would be to drink lots of vodka and not die!
Del: hmm… I'd be Jack Daniels man
[everyone laughs]
Paul: Thief! Thief! 

If you were a Muppet, which one would you be? 

Paul: hmm… got to be animal! I mean, he's in a band
Del: hmm… I dunno
Paul: no wait! We'd be the old guys at the top 

Is there anything else you would like to say to fans and readers? 

Paul: fans? [laughs] Erm thanks! For being fans!
Del: Dunno
Paul: just stick with us at the moment 'till the album comes out and we hope everyone enjoys it... and thank you!
