Desert Monkey consist of Cal Smith, Lewis Spurgin, Jamie Harrison, Sam Curtis and Stephan Pugh hailing from the rock city of...erm, Colchester. Their music is clearly inspired by the legendary gods of RAWK the guns. Which by todays standards is nice to see instead of your typical "screamo" bands swanning around. They try to make the work rock into a musical format by blending catchy guitar riffs with growl like vocals. Their EP, admittedly, isn't earth shattering stuff but it's a top listen. Being just 19 years of age, they are definitely on the right track to make a name for themselves.
