Good Cop Bad Cop

Review by Nik

First thing I have to bring to your attention is that in the bio I received for his band it states “GCBC has no intention of ‘getting signed’ simply playing live and documenting material is good enough”. Now, in what way do you take a quote like this? Are they really all about the music and performing for the love of or is this statement a cunning ploy so that when certain people come into contact with the cd and decide that they can take it somewhere are they going to be difficult?

While I leave you to ponder this, lets get the formalities out of the way.

Who are they?
They are three guys; Jolly on bass, Stevie on vocals and guitars and Nick on drums. Describing themselves as “ a classic guitar, bass ands drums rock band”

Where are they based?
North Hants area.

So now the formalities are done, what hats the music like ?

It explodes out of the stereo, it is the music running the show not the musicians. It is nice and heavy, but not too much that it becomes repetitive and boring. You can hear many different influences in the music including a ‘metallica’ like moment followed by a ‘beck’ esq twist. Over all it has good balance and the tracks are strong.

Have a look for them!
