"Innocent people are yet again targeted!"

OK, so I’ve started this so many times because of current affairs... And now to make all our days so much brighter, another huge terror attack is launched in Spain... And yes, a dollar to the man in the corner... Innocent people are yet again targeted! It’s scary. What is the world coming to? Another 50-100 years... Where will we be? Will there be a world?

OK, slow down, take this from the top... Does it start from the Iraqi War? Not completely. Israel and Palestine I guess starts it off... (By the way, this is from what I know of current and past affairs... Some people might not want to read... Fair enough, just don’t complain, my column all right?) The people there have fought in the name of their God for how many years? Thousands... Yes... I’m sure a real God would want his people to kill each other in a brutal fashion in his name. What God? Is there a God?... Who knows... Now I think even they don’t know... It’s just about killing... But maybe that’s too harsh... Then I suppose the next huge milestone is September 11th... Remember? My first day at senior school. Never forget it. What was that in the name of? Why? How many people dead? How many were innocent? How fair was that?

So that sparked the world’s biggest fucking circus act ever... America go head to head with Iraq and started the War... Government sitting in their comfy fat-ass chairs while soldiers and innocent people (common words, these, aren’t they?) are dying. Why did we go to war? Hmm let me think... Oh! Weapons of mass destruction? Where? Did a pretty good job of hiding them in their kitchen cupboards... because we didn’t find any!

Everyday, "Headlines tonight, more soldiers killed", "Hunt for weapons continues", "Saddam found in an attic shitting on millions of pounds"... What did we gain? The government treat us, good working people like idiots... None of us wanted to go to War in the first fucking place! Really good job there, Tony, keep it up lad; it’s only us that keep the country going!

And then we have Al-Qaeda, all the secret societies of countries... ETA, IRA etc... Half of them so hard and proud of what they do they wear masks! Ho-ho! What a laugh. Let me hold my sides... Oh yeah, some people can’t tonight because they’ve been blown off!

My point...? After my rant?... Here: The fact we don’t know if our world will be green and our people in peace (or even alive) in a few years needs attention, and not just aggression. We can’t even be sure of going on holiday or walking out our door without a threat of something or other... Every day, turn on the radio... "News just in, two children and a mother found dead", "War breaks out", "Spain bombings", "Oh and Bryan’s left Westlife"... What?!

I don’t know where we’ll be in 50 years. No one does... But a lot of us can’t do anything about it... no matter how much we want to. All we can do is grieve, think about the innocent... And I hate to say it; but enjoy life. You never know what’s gonna bite your ass these days.
