Good day chaps. Hope you're all well.
Lately I have been thinking about life, especially what happens when I turn
"adult" ... The whole "stages" thing, the labels. Baby until 2, child until
whatever age it is... Can they really label a thing like that? I'm 14. I don't
feel it. Mostly I feel about 16... I dunno, maturity for some and immaturity for
others, I just find it weird. Who are "they" to label us as one big blob of an
object... we don't really need anything stamped onto us, human being will do
just fine for me...
Anyway, yeah, when I'm older... What will I be doing? My work, my life, love,
situation... what's gonna happen? Should I even be asking or questioning the
plan life has for me? What about you? Will I know you? Is there a bigger picture
at all? Can we change it? Would I, given the chance? These are questions (I
think, anyway) that we will only know the answer to when we confront the
problem/situation itself... Maybe we won't even know we've made a life changing
decision. Life can't be planned, though, can it? Not really. The little things
that make the big things happen, they can't be stopped. Stupid things. People.
It's such a mystery, but I guess that's how it's meant to be. Who are we.. mere
mortals to question it?
Incidentally I came across a book today in Touchwood, Solihull, in the shop
"Books Etc"... The Reason Of Things I think it's called... there's a few more,
i.e. The Mystery Of Things... I sat down and read this book in the shop (they
had leather chairs in there! Wow) and read the first few parts, as I didn't have
enough to buy it. Damn. It was amazing. I really really found it interesting.
Really it is one guy's opinion and observation but Lordy does he pull it off... I
dunno I can't even explain it...
But, as I was saying, life... Philosophising about it (is that even a word?)
maybe it is what we are here for. To ponder... not that I'm saying the entity
that could well be God sent us here on a wild goose chase... Maybe we're just
here to while away the time... maybe there's been other Universes like ours that
have been destroyed (by pollution or "big bang" or anything like that) just like
ou Universe is now. It's not a hypothesis but I'm just generally spinning things
off the top of my head.
Although, if you wish to look deeply into this, you may be here a bloody long
time, thinking life is just a simple blip is not the way to go... Life is the
longest thing any of us are ever going to know... I mean we know about eternity
but we experience life. Maybe that's all it should be about...
On that note, let's go party! :P Anyways, that was a pretty random note, and
I've said it so much now but don't take life for granted 'cos there's not a lot
else we can all do, really!
Take care folks,
Mook

I bet you lot have forgotton about me. Yes, I still exist. And my intention was to bore you by talking about the pro's and con's about each political british party; Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem, UKIP, all the rest.
But I'm not... what else is in the news? Let's see... Wayne Rooney and his ugly girlfriend, The Sun's campaign to stop Jordan reducing her breasts, and the news of that slut Rebecca Loos having a breast enlargement also. Looks like the mad March hare has become the easter bunny for a year and has decided to hang around for a bit. Simply because there is nothing going on at the moment. OK, apart from that major election coming up but it's hard to talk about that without boring someone.
So if I may, I'd like to talk about you. Yes, YOU! Just you. If there's someone else in the room with you, usher them out, because I am talking to you and you only! Have a good hard think for the next minute or so about what you can achieve in life.
Done? Well you're wrong!! You can achieve much higher than that! I know you don't think so, but it's surprising how many people do not believe in themselves. I, for example, was forced into a small production of the musical Oklahoma, and I despise acting and I am not an actor and hate doing it. But the more I do it, the more my teachers says I'm suited to the part. It got me thinking (slightly!) about whether it's possible to achieve something without even meaning it...
Have you ever over-achieved? No, you haven't. You may think you have but you've never actually done so. All you've done is reach a higher level of achievement than you expected. Obviously, your achievement is well within your capability! And don't you just get a buzz from doing better than what people thought? I know I do...
When people say "Aim high" and you don't get as high as you expected, do you feel flat? You do? Oh, that's a shame. Because achieving anything that makes people proud and that makes you feel proud is something that should be shared. Who knows... ten, twenty years time, I could be on a nationwide paper writing a column about your achievements. Because I'm aiming high enough to get into the press, why shouldn't you aim high to reach your goals?
Here endeth the lesson.
Thanks for reading!
