October 3rd, 2004 - Kirsty

OK I know, I'm late again.

The truth is I've been thinking of write, well I've had three ideas. They all sucked :P But yeah, routine... What sucks about routine? Every day, week, month or whatever, we have to do the same thing... Well I'm guessing we've all had to at some point. School, getting up at a certain time in the morning. That counts (Right?) Routine (to me) sucks. But I love writing these. I'm lucky Jess loves me to pieces or I'd have been sacked by now :P

Oh yeh, the world's supposed to end tonight... BINGO, just found myself a topic. OK so what WOULD YOU DO if you KNEW FOR CERTAIN that the world was going to end in.... 5 hours? If that meteor did hit. What would YOU do? Seek family and friends? Run around like a headless chicken? (love that saying)... I'd strangle some people 'cuz I could get away with it :P

In all seriousness though... people always ask this question. And it's pretty much the same answer. "tell people i love them if they didn't know..." "spend time with the people i loved" etc... OK - "tell people i love them if they didn't know..." - Why not tell them now? Yeah, corny, yeah, hardly original but why not? You only get one shot at life, if you don't make the choices you want to, then you might aswell just... not exist.

'The world's going to end' ... yeah how many times have they said that before? ... Anyway...

Y'know those annoying email forwards? "tell all your friends you love them 'cuz tomorrow might not happen!" ... as annoying as they are, they do have a good meaning I guess. You'd feel pretty crap if you wanted to tell something to someone and you never got the chance...

I guess what I'm trying to say is that yeah, an incentive to do something is good, but why wait until it could possibly be too late? The whole situation of that might never happen to any of us, but it does make you think. And to be honest, I think I need to take a lesson from myself :P

Well, let's hope this isn't my last column because of that bloody meteor. Very inconvenient really... :P

Laters!

Mook xXx
