The Female Of The Species Is More...Shallow?

This is something that has been bugging me for a long time and I want to get off my chest. I know many people feel the same, but at the same time I'm going to get bombarded with insults from people, but I'm beyond caring :)

Girls have a continuous fight to prove that they know just as much about rock music as men do, being the "weaker sex", and I use that term very loosely, we suffer a lot of abuse. Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of men do accept it happily, but there is a minority that don't. So why, oh why do girls continue to degrade themselves by liking bands because they have a 'fit' vocalist? There's nothing wrong with liking a band and being attracted to a member, I am to many bands, but certain people piss me off, an example below:

Me: You heard New Found Glory?
Her: Yeah, I heard one of their songs. But have you seen the lead singer? God he's fit! Do you want to go see one of their gigs?
Me: ...

For God's sake. Bands are about the Music, not the girls, and bands that are deserve to be shot in the crotch. It's like when I went to see Mest, it was a good gig, lots of atmosphere, but there was this clique of girls next to me on the balcony shouting, "OOOO I love you [Insert name here]!!" How about this? You listen to the band, enjoy the music and be content with the fact that as an added bonus the band have looks.

As I said before. Like the band if you like the music. Not because you can ogle at them every time they come on stage. Don't like it? Email me.
