"Feeling, passion, attitude. These three words sum up pretty well when it comes to music, especially, great rock ‘n roll music.
Worldly, this week’s considered a special time due to the Holidays and it’s no coincidence, my dear RockPulsers, I’ve taken the liberty to present you to this great band of Italo-American fellows called Avenue X. Besides, it’s also a way to wish you all a Merry Punk Christmas with the blessings of the legendary Marky Ramone."

Texan pop punk veterans and Rock Pulse favourites, Bowling for Soup have come to the UK again – their 30th visit in 18 years – and this time they’re here with fellow bands and friends, The Dollyrots and Patent Pending, to promote their new album, ‘One Big Happy’.
To celebrate their return, Suzi and I headed over to Manchester Academy to catch up with the guys before their gig.
First off, we met the wonderful Kelly, Luis and James from The Dollyrots and spoke about Joan Jett, home baked cookies, and being lifelong losers. You can read that interview here.
Next up was the always lovely Erik Chandler from Bowling for Soup. We grabbed a few minutes of the bassist and backing vocalist's time to talk about first class flights, acoustic shows, and the power of sleep. You can read the interview with Erik here.
We also managed to catch their show, and you can read the review of the gig right here.
We want to say a big thank you to all of the bands plus their hard-working crew members, and make sure you check out all of the above!

When not running Rock Pulse Music Zine, editor Jess Coleman also writes fiction. She has just released her first novel on Amazon where it is available NOW for kindle downloads and also in paperback.
Here's the blurb:
Twenty-one year old Beth Powers is fed up with living in the tiny, gossip-fuelled village of Little Forest and resolves to escape to London with best friend, Veronica Summers. That is, until the body of Beth's colleague Emma Harris is found in the nearby woods, setting off the small community's well-oiled rumour mill. Beth soon finds herself in the middle of a bizarre village conspiracy: was Emma's death really accidental? Why are Beth's nearest and dearest cutting her out of their lives? And what does it all have to do with the conveniently-timed arrival of handsome new resident, Connor Maguire?
With the help of new ally Will Wolseley, Beth delves into the village's sinister secrets and uncovers a terrifying truth about herself that could change her life forever.
Will Beth decide to leave her childhood home for good? And, more importantly, will Little Forest let her go?
You can order the kindle version here, and the paperback here, thanks!

That's right, Rock Pulse favourites Bowling for Soup are heading back to the UK in October!
Bowling For Soup is 18 years old and what better way to commemorate such an achievement than packing up the full-band and heading back to the UK, for what will be their 30th visit.
Having just completed a busy spring of touring the Middle East (entertaining the troops), a widely successful UK acoustic tour, and a tour of the North Eastern United States, BFS are delighted to announce a 15-date blitz of the UK. Support comes in the form of American counterparts The Dollyrots and Patent Pending.
… This is the ‘One Big Happy Tour’.

"Have you ever wondered how exactly a musical artist goes from being an indie performer to a commercial success? Of course, not all indie music performers necessarily want to be thrust into mainstream success, but those who do end up being signed by major record labels usually achieve this dream through all sorts of different ways."
